• As of now there are 100 000 m2 of built and occupied buildings and a total of 200 000 m2 in progress of obtaining a building licence.
• 280 ha (690 acres) / Miramas: 165 ha; Grans: 115 h.
• 220 ha (545 acres) for the activities hub and the warehouse area.
• 60 ha (150 acres) reserved for the multimodal terminal for combined rail-road transport.
• Ultimately, 600,000 sq. m. (6.5 million sq. ft) of warehouse space will be built, which will be able to process 9 million tonnes of freight.
• The multimodal combined transport terminal with 4 handling yards will have a capacity of 210,000 wagons per year.

From the initial phase of this multimodal terminal, it will be possible to process 60,000 wagons per year in a 3-lane handling yard, i.e., 800,000 tonnes of freight.

Geostrategic positioning

Motorway network :

At the crossroads of Northern Europe via the Rhone valley and the Mediterranean Arch.

Road network :

Direct road access: currently 3 km from the Salon-ouest entrance, on the motorway bypass that links Spain and Italy, soon to be replaced by the A56 motorway which will serve the platform directly. Rail-road: as soon as it is commissioned, Clesud will be connected to the rail network so that it can then accept complete trains or isolated wagons.
In addition, the opening of the multimodal combined transport terminal will further diversify the plant's rail modal services. Sea-road / Air-road: Clesud is lucky to have the port of Fos nearby, the maritime logistics platform meant for the large maritime hauliers and international freight-forwarders, mainly in intercontinental traffic, as well as the Marseille-Provence airport, which targets airlines and air operators which are developing European and intercontinental freight traffic.

Rail network :

Clesud is linked to the Miramas marshalling station, one of France's major marshalling stations in terms of the number of wagons processed, and the regional hub for goods traffic for the SNCF south-east network.
